after a sweaty hard day's rest at an electricfan-deprived room without anyone but walls to talk to, my social skills have significantly decreased to a level incomprehensible by human faculty. here's a depressingly stupid story to prove my point.
*me hears knocks
me: sandali lang po
*me opens the door and sees 2 ladies of different ages standing at the doorway. they seem to be looking for a room.
(yes new roomie!!)
*smile*smile*smile*
me: freshie po?
older lady: do i look like a freshman?
me: a i mean your daughter.
older lady: do i look like i have a child?
*me forces a pacute smile*
*unfriendly ladies trudge out through the door*
(ugh why do i even call them ladies)
For an extremely unsociable person resigned alone slumped in a corner of her room during her free time, which happens to be most of the time, it takes a mammoth of energy to have that courage to be genuinely nice and amazingly friendly. then only to end up looking stupid to the only two beings I've encountered through the day.
Lesson of the day: huwag maging trying hard magpakafriendly.=(
